'House Of Cards' Season 5 Cast News & Update: Joel Kinnaman Hints Of Bad Things, Brunetti & Kelly Share Filming Status

Something bad is happening in "House of Cards" Season 5. Joel Kinnaman, who plays Gov. Will Conway, teased this on social media. The show's executive producer, Dana Brunetti, and actor Michael Kelly, who plays Doug Stamper in the series, also provided some updates on the status of filming. The "House of Cards" cast and crew have been in Baltimore for the shoot since last month.

Joel Kinnaman shared the cover of the script to "House of Cards" Season 5 Episode 3 on his Twitter and alluded that something is about to go down in the episode. Of course, being a political drama series, tension and conflict are expected in the story line.

But Will Conway's presence could also hint of more election drama between him and Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey). Is "House of Cards" Season 5 going to feature a split in the elections, prompting the House to decide on who actually wins as president? Will President Underwood intimidate and torment his way into a second term?

Meanwhile, as "House of Cards" continues to film Season 5 in Baltimore, executive producer Dana Brunetti has revealed via Instagram that they have finished doing table reads for two more episodes. Michael Kelly also confirmed that they are currently filming this week, when a fan asked the actor on Twitter. In an interview with Deadline, Kelly also said that "House of Cards" Season 5 is shooting two episodes at a time.

Kelly also commented on a "radical change" in "House of Cards" with regards President Underwood's health. Last season, the character underwent a liver transplant after an attempted assassination. Will Underwood's health fail in Season 5? "As we've gone along, you know, crazy shit happens all the time," the actor told Deadline, without revealing any more details. He said that the writers of the series always deliver what the audience wants.

"House of Cards" Season 5 is expected to launch in early 2017 on Netflix. The show is one of the streaming site's most popular series.
