‘Scorpion’ Season 3 Air Date, Spoiler, Latest News Updates: New Season Turning Into A Musical? EP Nicholas Wootton Teases Massive Character Twists

Several "Scorpion" fans were left baffled in the previous season of the series when Happy (Jadyn Wong) rejected Toby's (Eddie Kaye Thomas) marriage proposal because she has already been married. Due to Happy's unexpected revelation, writer and executive producer Nicholas Wootton revealed more massive character twists and personal episodes are coming this season.

During a roundtable interview with Showbiz Junkies at the 2016 San Diego Comic Con, Wootton hinted that "Scorpion" season 3 will feature more personal episodes and some massive character twists. He also revealed that Happy's emotional story, which includes her previous marriage and other complications, will play a significant part in the first 10 episodes of the series.

In addition, "Scorpion" season 3 will also reportedly depict more emotional twists that the series don't normally deal with. What's more interesting was the fact that Wootton teased about the possibility of babies on the show. So, does this mean fans might be seeing Happy and Paige getting pregnant?

As for the highly requested musical episode, Wootton revealed it could be a possibility for "Scorpion" season 3 since music and mathematics could be a fun and great combination. Even though there's a way to do such kind of episode with cast members Katharine McPhee (Paige), Ari Stidham (Sylvester) and Elyes Gabel (Walter) all have musical inclinations, it remains uncertain when or will they ever do a musical episode.

Aside from Happy and Toby's relationship issues, "Scorpion" season 3 will also delve deeper into Paige's son Ralph (Riley B. Smith). In the upcoming season, Christian Today revealed that Ralph will be placed in a challenging situation where he has to deal with a non-speaking boy with autism who was lost in the city.

The major focus of "Scorpion" season 3, however, is Walter's struggles for emotional maturity. As a matter of fact, Parent Herald previously reported about an emotional and personal twist where Walter suffered from hypoxia caused by loss of oxygen and hallucinated a dream sequence.

Another interesting twist in "Scorpion" season 3 is Cabe (Robert Patrick) and his own personal quest on love. Meanwhile, the upcoming season will kick off with a two-hour premiere episode titled, "Civil War" and "More Civil War," where Team Scorpion will investigate a huge security breach in the U.S. military.

As for "Scorpion" season 3 air date, the new season is scheduled to premiere on Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. on CBS. But a week after its premiere, the series will take on a new timeslot at 10 p.m. and will start on Oct. 10.
