Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan dating rumors have been making rounds online since "Outlander" Season 1. It is not entirely surprising to see and hear such kinds of rumors between the two because of their undeniable chemistry in front of and behind the cameras.

While these two previously addressed dating rumors, many fans continue to believe that there is more between Heughan and Balfe than just a professional relationship as "Outlander" Season 3 co-stars. As many noted on the 36-year-old Scottish actor's Twitter account, Heughan seemed to be thinking more about his co-star and has even referred to her as his "wifey."

Heughan and Balfe previously addressed rumors that they are dating, reports Celeb Dirty Laundry. According to Balfe, many might be mistaking their close relationship as dating because fans have grown fond of their characters, Jamie Fraser and Claire Randall.

Balfe even stated that it would be difficult for her and Heughan to be in a relationship because they only see themselves as good friends. The publication notes, however, that these two have been calling each other pet names, which seems quite contradicting to their statements.
