‘Resident Evil 7’ To Support PlayStation 4 Pro With 4K and HDR Graphics; Demo Gets Update

"Resident Evil 7" has been added to the list of games that will have a 4K and HDR supports on the upcoming PlayStation 4 Pro. Capcom confirms this via the official Twitter page of "Resident Evil."

"Great news everyone! Resident Evil 7 biohazard will support PlayStation 4 Pro with 4K and HDR graphics!" the post reads. The game is slated to be released in January next year, and according to GameSpot, the said PS4 Pro supports may come as a patch after the launch. Sony will not charge any for PS4 Pro 4K HDR patches. Other companies, however, may do so.

Other games that will support 4K and HDR on PS4 Pro include "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," "Battlefield 1," and "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," among many others. PS4 Pro is scheduled to hit the market on Nov. 10, 2016, with a price tag of $399. Aside from the 4K and HDR, the new console sports a 1TB hard drive, doubled GPU power and boosted CPU clockspeed, which are advantageous to players.

Meanwhile, Kotaku reported that the "Resident Evil 7 Beginning Hour" demo that was earlier released will have an update to be released today. Citing a report from PlayStation Blog, the update will expand on what the player can do and explore within the demo. Capcom has also released a new footage, which shows more areas of the house and some ideas on what is going to happen with Baker family.

Elsewhere in the world of "Resident Evil," fans have also been eagerly waiting for the release of "Resident Evil 2" remake. Capcom previously announced that it was working on one, but later abandoned the project. GameSpot said Developer Invader Studios is developing a new one in partnership with former Capcom designer Satoshi Nakai, and released a trailer for "Daymare: 1998."

"Resident Evil 7" will hit the market on January 24, 2017, and will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
