‘Wentworth’ Season 5 Air Date News & Update: Is Franky Doyle To Follow Bea Smith In Foxtel Series Exit?

"Wentworth Season 5" by Foxtel may not have Franky Doyle (Nicole Da Silva) for longer after Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack) was killed off in "Seeing Red." As it is Foxtel is set to surprise fans with "Wentworth Season 5," which will be the first run without Bea Smith.

The "Wentworth Season 4" finale shocked the Foxtel series fandom when Bea Smith was murdered by prison officer Joan Ferguson (Pamela Rabe). While the sudden Bea Smith exit feels like the "Wentworth" series took fans into limbo, tough Franky Doyle lent a sense of assurance.

  Of the current "Wentworth" cast, fans of the Foxtel series felt Nicole Da Silva is the strongest candidate to second for Bea Smith. Where Bea Smith used to be top dog in the Wentworth prison, buzz came up in support of Franky Doyle.

Unfortunately for Franky Doyle fans, Parent Herald cites that the Foxtel camp indicated that Bea Smith will not be replaced as top dog by an existing "Wentworth" series inmate. Instead, "Wentworth Season 5" will bring in a new top dog and new supporting inmates and external characters after the Bea Smith arc.

Which is just as well as The Daily Telegraph reports that Nicole Da Silva is becoming known more as other than Franky Dolye of the "Wentworth" series. In fact, Nicole Da Silva now has to play a key character in tv series "Doctor, Doctor" while playing Franky Doyle in "Wentworth Season 5."

When Nicole Da Silva was asked how she would manage continuing as Franky Doyle in "Wentworth Season 5" while working with "Doctor, Doctor" the Australian star was realistic. "You hope it all lines up and you just make things work," Nicole Da Silva said of her "Wentworth" and "Doctor, Doctor" work.

To be sure Nicole Da Silva is optimistic about "Wentworth" and "Doctor, Doctor" and did not give any indication of having to give up being Franky Doyle. Which is fortunate as losing Franky Doyle so soon after losing Bea Smith may be too heartbreaking for fans of the "Wentworth" series.
