'Final Fantasy 7' Remake Release Date to Come Earlier? Square Enix Pressured

Fans are definitely looking forward to know more about the "Final Fantasy 7" remake release date. Square Enix has yet to release any specifics about the highly anticipated game, but rumors are rife that it will hit stands in 2017.

According to a new report from Famitsu, "Final Fantasy 7" remake is one of the gaming community's most wanted games. The title places top 6 on the list with "Dragon Quest," "Pokemon Sun and Moon," "Persona 5" and "Final Fantasy 15" leading the charts.

Could this clamor for the "Final Fantasy 7" remake actually pressure Square Enix to release it earlier than expected? It was previously noted that the remake will come in three parts, with the first installment getting a 2018 launch. The two succeeding titles will be released in 2019 and 2020 respectively.

Ecumenical News recently reported that a 2017 "Final Fantasy 7" remake release date could be a possibility. However, fans should also take release date rumors and speculations with a grain of salt until developers confirm its exact release date. In the meantime, the publication suggested that waiting fans can just focus on "Final Fantasy 15" first when it hit stands on November 29, 2016.

Previous reports claimed that the "Final Fantasy 7" remake will draw inspiration from "Kingdom Hearts 3." As game producer Yoshinori Kitase previously mentioned, the new title will have an active dynamic moving forward, University Herald noted. It has also been speculated that the new title could be a PS4 Pro exclusive.
