Serena Williams Net Worth: Tennis Player Ventures A Different Career Path After Losing The US Open

Serena Williams is without a doubt one of the best tennis players in the world. Though Serena was not able to bag the trophy during the US Open, she managed to make it big in terms of her net worth.

Serena Williams is one of the biggest names in the world of tennis. The 34-year-old champion managed to increase her net worth despite losing the US Open. Serena Williams opened up to CNN about her net worth and her career part, which leads her into a greener pasture.

During her interview, the tennis player mentioned that she won't be playing tennis for the rest of her life, thus she already came up with a backup plan. Serena Williams then shared that she's already shifting her attention to the fashion industry.

"I'm not going to play tennis forever," Serena William said during her interview with CNN. "I know I have been playing forever, but one of these days I'm not gonna play so it's always good to know that if I want to go to the office... I can do that. It's the best thing because it's like I don't really care [about the Open] because I have to make sure these girls and these amazing models look great," she continued. "I can't have Anna Wintour sitting in the front row saying, 'This doesn't look good.' That's always been my saving grace here."

Her recent collection is currently on sale at HSN. It was then mentioned that the clothing line is easy in the pocket as she caters all sizes. Serena Williams offers a wide variety of wardrobe choices including gowns and everyday street wears.

Serena Williams managed to build her own empire. Forbes announced that the tennis player already exceeded the $100 million mark. As of June 2016, Serena Williams is already at $150 million making her one of the richest athletes in her time.
