‘Grimm' Season 6 Air Date, News & Update: Scooby Gang’s Sgt Wu Proving His Worth In Final Run With Nick Burkhardt Against Renard?

"Grimm Season 6" from NBC will see Sgt. Wu (Reggie Lee) fighting side by side Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) against Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz). One might say that Sgt. Wu, formerly a fixture on the sidelines, will prove his worth in "Grimm Season 6."

Sgt. Wu had been a fringe member of the Scooby gang until things changed for him in "Grimm Season 5" during "Lycanthropia." Sgt. Wu had been assisting Nick Burkhardt, Hank (Russell Hornsby), Rosalee (Bree Turner) and Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) subdue a lycanthrope in "Grimm Season 5" when Portland's best became infected.

  "Grimm Season 5" had been a nightmare turned adventure for Sgt. Wu. When Black Claw gained ground in "Grimm Season 5," Sgt. Wu had to learn quickly how to control his lycanthrope powers.

This was shown when Nick Burkhardt was almost ambushed by the Black Claw in "Grimm Season 5" and the NBC series star was saved by Sgt. Wu. Reggie Lee told Showbiz Junkies that with his lycanthrope powers Sgt Wu will prove his worth on "Grimm."

Spin-off buzz began floating about for Bitsie Tulloch, Rosalie and Monroe, as well as Turbel (Jacqueline Toboni) and Diana (Hannah R. Loyd) once "Grimm Season 6" is over as Parent Herald reports. Who's to say that Reggie Lee won't have to see Sgt Wu given another turn in one of these or his own "Grimm" spin-off.

For the time being, loyal Grimmsters have been lobbying to keep "Grimm" on air with "Save Our Show! Grimm." According to The Petition Site, "Save Our Show! Grimm" has almost reached its goal of 11,000 petitioners.

Meanwhile, NBC rescheduled the "Grimm Season 6" premiere to air on Jan 6, 2017. Barring success by petitioners at "Save Our Show! Grimm," Grimmsters will be able to see Reggie Lee play Sgt Wu one last season with Nick Burkhardt and the gang at "Grimm Season 6"
