‘Street Fighter V’ News: New PC Rollback Solution Coming Soon; Capcom Reversed Anti Crack Solution Update

"Street Fighter V" developer Capcom released an apology on its official Twitter account addressed to players who were affected by the recently issued update for the game's PC version. The developer announced that they are already working on reversing the security measures applied to the game. Additionally, Capcom also advised that a PC rollback solution will be released soon.

The said "Street Fighter V" update apparently carried an anti-crack solution which would "prevent certain users from hacking the executable" according to the "Street Fighter V" Steam post. The downloadable update for the "Street Fighter V" on the PC platform reportedly causes a Windows User Account Control to prompt a pop up that would require players to click confirm every time they play the game.

The update is intended to be "an anti-cheating protocol" but reports claimed that some players were complaining because it prevented them to boot the game completely. As reports emerged that there were players who were unable to play "Street Fighter V" on the PC platform due to the latest update, Capcom acknowledged the issue on the "Street Fighter" official Twitter account. The developer said that they were investigating the matter and released the apology and their resolution days later.

Meanwhile, Arstechnica reported that the anti-crack solution released to "Street Fighter V" was intended for players who were using alternative tricks and techniques to obtain in-game content such as currencies. In July, Capcom reportedly issued a warning via Twitter to those who were found obtaining "Street Fighter" alternate costumes on the PC version and were using hidden characters which were not deployed to the game yet.

"Street Fighter V" anti crack solution came after Capcom launched an update that carried a new playable character named Urien, Polygon reported. The new character is suggested to be a tall guy who already made its debut in the "Street Fighter III."
