Xiaomi Mi 5s Vs. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro: Which Device Is Better? Here Is What We Know

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro appears to be an impressive Xiaomi device but with the reveal of Xiaomi Mi 5s, buyers may question the advantages of getting either. Listed here is the comparison between both devices, including price points that could help users determine which device would suit them best.

Both devices are equipped with a multi-touch capacitive touchscreen but when it comes to the screen display, the devices actually differ. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro only sports a 5-inch 1920x1080p IPS while Xiaomi Mi 5s is designed with 5.15-inch 25660x1440p IPS LCD.

Another difference of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 5s is their primary and secondary cameras according to TechnosAmigos comparison table. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro comes with 13MP rear camera with 5MP front shutter. Xiaomi Mi 5s, on the other hand, equips a 16MP back camera while its front camera is at 8MP.

As for the hardware, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 while Xiaomi Mi 5s sports the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 821. Both devices are integrated with Adreno 530 GPU but the Redmi Note 3 Pro only carries 3GB RAM while the Mi 5s has 6GB RAM.

There is also a selection of two storage capacities for both devices such as 64GB and 128GB for the Mi 5s and 16GB and 32GB storage capacities for the Redmi Note 3 Pro. For the price points, the Mi 5s is expected to sell at $300 to $345 depending on storage while the Redmi Note 3 is priced at $146.99 to $185.99 currently.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi Mi 5s was just recently unveiled in China during the recent press event held by the Chinese phone manufacturing company on Sept. 27. Apart from the Mi 5s, Xiaomi also revealed its premium version, the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, Parent Herald reported.

The Xiaomi Mi 5s smartphones are expected to arrive in the Chinese markets starting Sept. 29. The company, however, has not announced whether the devices will also be available in the United States.
