‘Prison Break’ Season 5 Latest News & Spoilers: New Villains Are Out To Take Michael’s Life? Original Casts Confirmed Return In The Show

"Prison Break" Season 5 original cast members are returning in the series reboot, including Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Sarah Wayne Callies, Amaury Nolasco, Rockmond Dunbar and Robert Knepper. However, apart from the beloved Prison Break originals, new villains that would run after Miller's character, Michael Scofield, are also expected to appear in the show.

A lot of rumors have spread over the Internet in the past few weeks since "Prison Break" Season 5 has been confirmed for production. One of them is the speculation that Michael holds a secret government information that would put his life into risk even after escaping prison in Yemen. New villains are said to go after Michael's life as the information he holds may put the government down, Parent Herald reported.

Meanwhile, Digital Spy reported that the "Colony" star Callies previously struggled with her schedule commitment with the USA series. However, the star officially signed for the "Prison Break" Season 5 in March which apparently gave fans hope to see a Sara and Michael reunion.

However, Sara has now moved on and accepted Michael's presumed death. She is now actually married with another man who is rumored to turn into a villain as he wants to stop Michael and Sara's reunion. It remains to be seen whether Sara and Michael would actually find love once again in "Prison Break" Season 5.

"Prison Break" Season 5, however, will not see the return of William Fichtner, the man who portrays Alexander Mahone's character, another series original cast. In an interview with show member Knepper, he confirmed that "Prison Break" writer Paul Scheuring did not want to just get all the original casts back and he cannot think of a path for Fichtner's character in the new story, Inquisitr reported.

Here is a sneak peek of "Prison Break" Season 5.
