'Fuller House' Season 2 Spoilers & News: Thanksgiving Episode Will Be Extra Special - Here's Why!

As already officially announced by Netflix, "Fuller House" Season 2 will be released during the holiday season, specifically on Friday, Dec. 9. Many of its episodes will be centered on celebrations and its Thanksgiving story is already pegged as an extra special one.

In all of the seasons of "Full House," the original series that ran more than two decades ago, Thanksgiving episodes have been largely missing. The show only delivered one such special in its entire eight-season run with "The Miracle of Thanksgiving." This aired in the very first season and was no longer followed up, according to Cinema Blend.

This episode was rather heart-wrenching for the Tanner family because it was the first time they were celebrating Thanksgiving after losing their mom, Pam. "Full House" dad Danny (Bob Saget), along with uncles Jesse (John Stamos) and Joey (Dave Coulier), had to make sure that little DJ (Candice Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Michelle (the Olsen twins) still had a Thanksgiving worth celebrating, despite the sadness and the hitches in the preparations.

Fast forward to 2016 and "Fuller House" is finally doing another Thanksgiving special. The "Fuller House" cast has shared photos from the set while filming this particular episode and the mood is quite the opposite of its last Thanksgiving special, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Meanwhile, fans of "Fuller House" are in for more treat with the Thanksgiving episode as the show will be introducing Uncle Joey's family for the very first time. TV Line reports that Uncle Joey's wife, Ginny, works as a fun-loving magician from Las Vegas and her presence will add more festivity to the occasion. Their four children will also be at the Thanksgiving table in the Fuller-Tanner household.

The growing "Fuller House" family's Thanksgiving special is indeed one of Season 2's brightest spots. Catch it when the new season is released on Netflix on Dec. 9. Take a look at the show's very first Thanksgiving episode in the video below.
