What To Expect From 'The Walking Dead' 2-Hour Special?

AMC just announced a two-hour special to air on Oct. 16 before the return of the "The Walking Dead" Season 7 on Oct. 23. This is good news especially for all those who will not have the time to binge watch the past seasons of "The Walking Dead."

"The special will feature interviews with key cast and executive producers," according to Entertainment Weekly. The two-hour retrospective special is titled "The Walking Dead: Journey So Far," which will air from 9-11 p.m.

This may hype up even more the audience who are restless in what is considered to be one of the most irritating cliffhanger in the series. "The Walking Dead: Journey So Far" will show behind the scenes of the series and will feature clips of the series' most memorable moments.

Many are wondering who will take the brunt of Negan's bat. Some say Glenn will die. But in an interview, the show's bosses hinted more than one death, which is why fans are becoming more creative in thinking of logical reasons as to who will die in the next season.

"Season by season, from the moment Rick wakes up in the hospital (as told by Andrew Lincoln), all the way to the excruciating first swing of Negan's bat (told by Jeffery Dean Morgan and others in the lineup), the story of 'The Walking Dead' will be told by those who have lived it," AMC said.

"The Walking Dead: Journey So Far" will give viewers who have not seen the series a chance to catch up on the series before the Season 7 premieres. It will also give context for "The Walking Dead" Season 7 premiere, as the season took a long hiatus.

Fans and nonfans alike will be able to refresh their "Walking Dead" 101 with the special runs down the series' "characters, locations and unique terminology." Viewers are also in for a treat as the actors and actresses behind "Walking Dead" spill facts about their characters.

"Walking Dead" Season 6 ended up with Negan holding his bat Lucille while walking back and forth in front of Rick's gang. Executive producer Greg Nicotero said that the premiere will be the most emotional episode that he had done for the series, according to Comic Book.
