NBA Free Agency: J.R. Smith Is Serious To Play In NFL; Smith Asked Fans What Position To Play With The Cleveland Browns

J.R. Smith has expressed his interest of playing with the Cleveland Browns as the Cleveland Cavaliers hasn't provided him the deal he asked. The Cavaliers and J.R. Smith is still in negotiation until today and has been in talks for several months now.

In a press released by the USA Today, J.R. Smith posted a Twitter message saying that he seriously thinks about playing in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns. Smith also mentioned that he played football back in his high school days in Lakewood High.

J.R. Smith might come up with an idea playing with the Cleveland Browns due to the fact that he is a former football player and still resides in Cleveland. J.R. Smith also created a poll where fans could vote for the best position he should play with the Cleveland Browns.

It's no secret that J.R. Smith and the Cleveland Cavaliers had an issue about re-signing offers. J.R. Smith, who is still sitting in the Free Agent pool for a couple of months now find himself a struggle to return with the Cavaliers.

As per the Forbes said, J.R. Smith chooses not to pick up his $5.3 million player option with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Smith rather chose to become an unrestricted free agent this NBA off-season. Smith is rumored to have an asking price of $15, but the Cavaliers maximum offer is somewhere between $10 million to $12 million.

LeBron James commented that he really missed J.R. Smith. Though having some issues with negotiation, LeBron James still believes that J.R. Smith would still be a part of the Cavaliers roster. LeBron James added that he hopes things would be resolved faster, citing how J.R. Smith worked hard as a professional athlete.

J.R Smith finished last season with 12.4 points and 1.1 steals per contest. Fans and his former teammates still hope that J.R. Smith would still be a part of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
