'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8 Spoilers: Ian Somerhalder Shuts Delena Or Stelena In The Finale; Nina Dobrev NOT Coming Back?

In less than two weeks the Salvatore brothers and the rest of the "TVD" gang will return for their last run. However, Nina Dobrev's return is still unconfirmed. According to reports, Dobrev might not be coming back for the finale anymore. Meanwhile, Ian Somerhalder is not supportive of a Delena or Stelena finale in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.

For "TVD" fans who have been following the series for years, there is no other great ending than waking up Elena from her deep sleep and have her reunite with her great love Damon. Yes, most want a Delena plot in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.

Unfortunately, Ian Somerhalder doesn't agree with fans. The actor told TVLine that the Salvatore brothers don't deserve Elena. Damon and Stefan just ruined her life. Somerhalder even implied his disagreement on why fans want Elena to end up with one of them in "the Vampire Diaries" Season 8.

According to Hollywood Life, Ian Somerhalder added that Damon is already 107 and Elena is only 18 and that their romance is an epic example of robbing the cradle. Nina Dobrev's ex also added that although Stefan is younger, Stelena is also inappropriate. Thus, Somerhalder is crushing fans hope for a Delena or Stelena ending in the final season of "The Vampire Diaries."

However, fans don't agree with Ian Somerhalder's perspective of a perfect ending for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Most, if not all, don't want to see any other ending than finding Nina Dobrev's Elena reunite with Somerhalder's Damon.

Elena and Damon were soul mates and twin flames. Delena deserves a happy ending in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Stefan has already moved on with Caroline, thus, Delena would be a perfect finale for the series.

Meanwhile, if Ian Somerhalder is unwilling to give in to fans' whims of a Delena ending, Nina Dobrev is not making it hard for her ex-boyfriend. Inquistr reported that Dobrev is not interested in reprising her role as Elena in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.

Nina Dobrev is very occupied with a number of films on her plate. She is making it pretty well in the big screens. She has "xXx: Return of Xander Cage," "Arrivals" and "Crash Pads."

For the "TVD" fans, a Delena ending is the best for the series. If Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder want to make their fans happy, they should reunite in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. After all, these series catapulted their careers to fame.
