'Fat Princess' To Shutdown Early 2017; Sony Announced The Shut Down Dates For PS Vita, Mobile Device And PS3

Sony's "Fat Princess" has now started its diet as the game is coming to an end. Sony decided to shut down the server as the game will no longer be available in an online store or even in the market.

The "Fat Princess" will have its last day on mobile devices until the 1st day of 2017 at exactly 1am Pacific Time. As the Gamespot reported, at first, "Fat Princess" Piece of Cake online services will shut down, and it is planned to take place next year. After a while, Sony has just announced the "Fat Princess" Piece of Cake will have its total retirement.

Mobile device players of the "Fat Princess" can play and download the game until the 1st of December, at exactly 12am Pacific Time. PS Vita owners can play it until January 1st midnight.

However, the "Fat Princess" Piece of Cake is still playable after the shut down date as long as the game is installed in the device. The "Fat Princess" can be played in the offline mode as the online services will no longer be available by that time onwards.

In-game purchase will no longer be available, those earned and purchased golds will no longer be usable to buy as well. Both PS3 and PS Vita owner cannot earn a voucher as well once finished the "Fat Princess" of Cake level 15 mission and will also be removed from the download list as the Niche Gamer reported.

The "Fat Princess" Piece of Cake was first released in 2009 for Playstation 3, and was released on PSP in 2010 and transported to PS Vita and mobile device in 2014. "Fat Princess" features more of a multiplayer game, 2 teams with 16 members each battle to rescue the "Fat Princess" as each team can feed her a slice of cake, making her heavier to bring back to their respective base.

Sony hasn't explained yet the reason behind the retire of the "Fat Princess" game. As of the moment, fans can still enjoy this game until the it retires.
