'The Walking Dead' Season 7: Showrunner Says Forthcoming Death Different From All The Other Deaths; AMC Hit Series Renewed For Season 8

Many deaths have been seen since the season one of "The Walking Dead" but the showrunner of the hit series teased and explained the upcoming death to be different from the past demise. "The Walking Dead" was also recently renewed for a 16-episode Season 8.

The next death in "The Walking Dead" will be shown in the Season 7 premiere of the AMC hit show this October 23. Showrunner Scott M. Gimple said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the survivors from Alexandria will realize that the confidence and peace they have worked so hard for to achieve will be taken away from them instantly after they get to know more about Negan and his group. Gimple said that the main characters in "The Walking Dead" will wonder how will they go on after being in the hands of the merciless Negan and Lucille.

Gimple then proceeded to talk about the big death in "The Walking Dead" Season 7. For one, he said that it is a different death because that person will not get eaten by a Walker and it is extremely purposeful. Negan said in the finale of "The Walking Dead" Season 6 that he is doing such because it is the consequence of not doing what he says.

It remains unclear, however, who will be killed in "The Walking Dead" Season 7 premiere. Speculations have increased and fans of "The Walking Dead" believe it's either Glenn or Daryl.

Aside from that Gimple also teased that the people at the Hilltop might be in trouble after they struck a deal with Alexandria. After all, they are the reason why Rick and the gang came face to face with Negan. Gregory will reportedly be worried if Negan and the Saviors will come after them in "The Walking Dead" Season 7.

As for the renewal of "The Walking Dead" for a 16-episode Season 8, Rolling Stone reported that it will be out by 2017. AMC president Charlie Collier said in a recent statement about "The Walking Dead" Season 8, "What a joy to partner with Robert Kirkman, Scott Gimple and some of the hardest-working people in television to bring The Walking Dead to the fans." He also thanked the fans of "The Walking Dead" for breathing life into such remarkable series.
