‘Marco Polo’ Season 3 Air Date, News Update: Lorenzo Richelmy Thought Netflix Series Was ‘Crap?’ Explorer Show Still breaking Rules?

"Marco Polo" Season 3, a Netflix original from creator John Fusco with star Lorenzo Richelmy as Marco Polo is anticipated to keep breaking the rules. For this same reason Lorenzo Richelmy was initially highly disappointed with becoming a Netflix star on "Marco Polo."

"Marco Polo" Season 3 continues from a successful run with Marco Polo, Kublai Khan (Benedict Wong) and the Netflix series cast in Season 2. However, the "Marco Polo" did not have an easy beginning.

Digital Trends reports that before John Fusco and executive producer Daniel Minahan were able to mount the "Marco Polo" series on Netflix, the series creator encountered several obstacles. Even friends in the business thought "Marco Polo" was not easily relatable and tried to persuade John Fusco to bring a different material to Netflix.

However, according to the media agency, Netflix was more than happy to bring in "Marco Polo" Season 1 as an original series. The Netflix format for binge viewing was perfect what John Fusco envisioned for "Marco Polo."

David Minahan saw the Netflix format as a chance to allow him and John Fusco to develop "Marco Polo" outside of the formulas and rules that mainstream networks use. John Fusco essentially sees the "Marco Polo" series as very long movie and is anticipated to continue going against the mainstream grain in Season 3.

In contrast, Digital Spy reports that "Marco Polo" star Lorenzo Richelmy had initially been excited to play the title role. However, Lorenzo Richelmy became quite dismayed when he found out that "Marco Polo" was to be released as a web series on Netflix.

Lorenzo Richelmy admitted to thinking that because "Marco Polo" will only be released on Netflix, the series will not have many viewers. In fact, Lorenzo Richelmy assumed that "Marco Polo" must be inferior in quality to be a streaming series on Netflix.

Happily, John Fusco and "Marco Polo" Season 1 disproved Lorenzo Richelmy. By "Marco Polo" Season 2, the Netflix series has become what the Northwest Asian Weekly reports to rank as the current top two most highly watched original series.

Netflix is anticipated to drop "Marco Polo" Season 3 by mid-July 2017. How do you suppose Kublai Khan and Marco Polo will deal with Prester John on "Marco Polo" Season 3?
