Gwen Stefani Blake Shelton Romantic Date Night: Couple Shared Duet At Obama's Final State Dinner

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton made the evening memorable with their lovely duet at the final state dinner of President Barack Obama. The said event was filled with sweet music, literally and figuratively, by the ppop celebrity singer and country music artist.

The evening turned out to be both a historic and romantic date night for both Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton. The couple performed Go Ahead and Break My Heart on stage and were able to converse with President Barack Obama and wife Michelle. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were also joined by Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld, John Turturro and Katherine Borowitz, and Michael Feldman and Savannah Guthrie.

For this occasion, Gwen Stefani sizzled with a floor-length black gown. Despite the dark color which is a departure from her usual brightly colored fashion choices, Gwen maintained her unique sense of style with the bold texture and pattern. Blake Shelton was equally formally elegant with his suit.

Sparks started to fly between Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton on the set of The Voice. They were first spotted by people with some flirty exchanges on Twitter before they eventually came out publicly as a couple.

They later revealed to Vanity Fair that this union was an unexpected one, with Blake Shelton claiming that it was Gwen Stefani who saved his life. The respective failures of their past marriages with Gavin Rossdale (Gwen Stefani) and Miranda Lambert (Blake Shelton) became a cornerstone where they were able to bond in a deeper way.

"We've saved each other's lives, to be honest. Yes, we're serious," Blake Shelton admits. "We understand there's some paperwork we need to fill out? Let's all turn our chairs around for LOVE," he continued in a pun matching their divorce paperwork and The Voice's chair-turning tradition for good performances.

They both claim that their marriage disasters turned out to be blessings in disguise that led them to each other. Since then, the couple has been going strong together and making sweet music in songs and in real life.
