"Jane the Virgin" Season 3 Episode 2 is speculated to see Jane (Gina Rodriguez) get back to her mommy duties while Michael (Brett Dier) is recuperating from his surgery. Rafael (Justin Baldoni), on the other hand, is expected to be more vocal about his choices for his son Mateo. Meanwhile, Xo (Andrea Navedo) is expected to make a big decision before everyone learns about her secret pregnancy.

"Jane the Virgin" Season 3 Episode 2 might see Rafael start to negotiate his terms regarding Mateo with Jane. In a set of teaser images released for the next episode, Rafael and Jane are seen in Mateo's class and they seem to be talking about something important. "Jane the Virgin" spoilers suggest that Rafael and Jane will argue on Rafael' choice for Mateo's preschool, Vine Report reported.

"Jane the Virgin" Showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that Rafael and Jane will face challenges and difficulties as co-parents to Mateo. Urman explained that Rafael was in love with Jane before, causing him to always agree with what Jane wants. However, this time, "he's going to try to come out of that and that's going to make all their interactions richer and more equal and deeper," The Hollywood Reporter reported.

Meanwhile, Xo seems to be determined on not keeping her baby on Jane the Virgin" even after Rogelio (Jaime Camil) showed willingness to keep the baby as his own. She is also worried that Alba (Ivonne Coll) might soon notice the changes in her body caused by the pregnancy. It remains to be seen whether Xo's family will find out about the baby on the next episode of "Jane the Virgin."
