'Deadpool' Star Ryan Reynolds In Hot Water For Baby Cages Tweet, Do 'They Require a Permit?' [Photo]

"Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds recently earned the ire of parents when he was photographed carrying his baby the wrong way by wife, Blake Lively, in Instagram, and he has since apologized for this. But barely a week after admitting his mistake, the new dad once again committed a parenting faux pas.

Ryan joked about baby cages he found on Twitter. One user, the Daily Planet, shared an old black and white photo of a baby in a cage on their account and said, "These baby cages were used in apartments in the 1930s to make sure the child got enough fresh air and sunlight."

The actor retweeted  this tidbit and asked, "This is absolutely monstrous and does anybody know if it requires a permit?"

While some of his followers understood his sense of humor, others didn't think it was something to be joked at and assumed he would like to use the baby cage for his baby daughter, James.

One Twitter follower warned Ryan to be careful, "Trolls are already mad at you for not magically knowing everything about babies," the fan wrote.

"I'm a first-time dad, and that is not the first mistake I've made. I can guarantee you it won't be last," the actor said during an interview with Matt Lauer on "Today." This was in response to the backlash he received for mistakenly using a baby-wearing device with his baby looking quite uncomfortable.

He doesn't claim to be the perfect father, and, in fact, he often jokes about his (mis)adventures as a dad. For instance, on Father's Day, he tweeted, "My daughter smiled at me. It was all the gift I needed as I packed a bag and left for 6 years to write a book on parenting."

Even his own wife joked that Ryan has pathetic parenting skills when she appeared on Jimmy Fallon's show.

The actor also admitted fatherhood freaks him out. "You suddenly feel the inexorable march of time go by," the actor said via ABC News. "It's not because you wake up in the middle of the night every five seconds because someone's got to s--- themselves. It's really because you are looking at this persona and time just starts flying by, you just think 'like how is it possible that you're already half a year old?'"

Ryan and Blake welcomed their daughter James in December 2014.
