‘Hunter X Hunter’ Chapter 361 Release Date, News: Yoshihiro Togashi No Longer In Hiatus? Manga Confirmed To Continue With Assistance From Wife?

"Hunter x Hunter" is said to continue after reports claimed that manga creator Yoshihiro Togashi is now well and fit to work. The latest "Hunter x Hunter" update suggests that Togashi will have to ask the help of his wife Naoko Takeuchi to work on the manga series right where he left off. That said, "Hunter x Hunter" Chapter 361 is expected to arrive in 2017.

"Hunter x Hunter" is suggested to return as early as the first quarter of 2017 as a recent report claimed that Togashi was seen in the 40th-anniversary celebration of "Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo." Because of this, fans speculated that Togashi may end his hiatus and resume working on "Hunter x Hunter." Togashi and Takeuchi are said to collaborate to deliver the new chapters of the manga to fans who have long been clamoring for it, Christian Daily reported.

"Hunter x Hunter" previous rumors surfaced that the manga might be canceled soon if Togashi will not be able to write the next chapters of the series. For the uninitiated, the long hiatus of "Hunter x Hunter" is caused by Togashi's lower back pain condition that required him to take a leave from work, Parent Herald reported. Speculations also emerged that he cannot return to work so Viz Media needed to hire a new pool of writers to continue the story of "Hunter x Hunter" but this was not proven to be the case.

A post on Reddit suggests that Togashi's hiatus was initially thought to be short as he was already finished with 24 chapters in the past two years. Only 11 out of the 24 were published and Togashi only needed time to edit "Hunter x Hunter" volume 34. However, such speculations were not confirmed and until now, Viz Media and Togashi have not released official details about the development of "Hunter x Hunter."

"Hunter x Hunter" follows the life of Gon as he follows the footsteps of his father who he thought to be dead but is actually a renowned Hunter.
