"Hunter x Hunter" rumor mill suggest that the hit manga will not be returning anytime soon. Speculations claimed that "Hunter x Hunter" Chapter 361 might be canceled due to the worsening health condition of its Japanese creator Yoshihiro Togashi. However, Togashi's wife, Naoko Takueuchi, will apparently take over and continue the script.

"Hunter x Hunter" has been in the hiatus for a couple of months now as Togashi has not yet recovered from his lower back pain. Interestingly, recent rumors claimed that Togashi's wife who is apparently one of the creators of "Sailor Moon" is now preparing to continue "Hunter X Hunter," Breathecast reported. Takueuchi, being a known manga artist, could reportedly help bring back "Hunter x Hunter" and has actually started drafting her background illustrations currently.

However, another speculation emerged that the whole of "Hunter x Hunter" may just be canceled if Togashi will not be able to work on the manga series. Previous reports claimed that Viz Media was already looking for other authors to take on "Hunter x Hunter" but fans did not take it well. Some fans disagreed with the plan and thought that Togashi does not deserve to be replaced as he is the reason behind "Hunter x Hunter's" popularity, Vine Report reported.

Meanwhile, "Hunter x Hunter" Chapter 360 ended where Kurapika was about to learn who the Nen user behind the killings in the ship was. Chapter 360 of "Hunter x Hunter" clearly left a cliffhanger that is why fans are apparently waiting patiently for the next chapter. However, if it is true that "Hunter x Hunter" will just be canceled, then many fans will not be happy to leave their favorite manga series without an ending.
