Maryland Babysitting Gone Bad Caught On Video! Police Arrests 66-Year-Old Nanny For Force-Feeding A Baby, Faces Second-Degree Murder Charges Over Child’s Death

A Maryland nanny was arrested and charged over the death of an eight-month-old baby girl. According to reports, the child woke up her nanny, the latter got mad and the nanny force-fed the child until she died from choking.

Toronto Sun reported that the nanny was identified as 66-year-old Oluremi Oyindasola. She was arrested Tuesday this week and as per a surveillance video, her acts were caught on tape. The baby was identified as Enita Salubi. The video showed the nanny taking a nap on the couch then the crying infant walked over to her while on a walker.

The nanny got woken up and seemingly got mad. Col. Harry Bond of Prince George's County Police said that the nanny first tried to feed the child while she was still in the walker but was unsuccessful. She then pulled the child from the walker, held the baby around the child's chest, removed the nipple from one of the feeding bottles and forcefully poured the liquid, possibly milk, down the baby's mouth.

The baby could be seen squirming in the video for around 25 seconds but Oyindasola continued to pour the large amount of liquid into the baby's mouth. After the first bottle was empty, the nanny forced the second bottle into the mouth of the child, The Washington Post reported.

The child became unresponsive at around 4:10 p.m. and Oyindasola called the father of the baby. The father rushed home and called 911. The baby was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced death. It was determined that the eight-month-old baby girl died of asphyxiation.

Police officials have charged Oyindasola of Glenarden, Maryland with second-degree murder, first-degree murder child abuse resulting in death and more charges related to the incident. She is now at the Prince George's County Department of Corrections.

Neighbors said they heard the baby crying a lot before the crime and were concerned about her welfare. Christina Cotterman, a spokeswoman for Prince George's County Police, said that babies are defenseless and what happened to Salubi is tragic and heartbreaking. The family of Salubi has not released any statement yet.
