‘Stranger Things’ Update: Info On Cast Members To Join Season 2 Plus New Video Shows Missing Barbara Is Not Forgotten, Watch Here!

The Season 1 of Netflix sci-fi series, "Stranger Things" is a huge hit coupled with high ratings and positive reviews. Even the finale is lauded for successfully resolving some of the show's mysteries yet at the same time left some hanging to arouse just enough curiosity for the next season. Yet, amidst all these, the Duffer Brothers seem to have totally forgotten about the character of Barbara (played by Shannon Purser).

When we last saw Barbara, she was sadly lounging by the pool after her best friend, Nancy (played by Natalia Dyer) chose to spend time with boyfriend Steve (played by Joe Keery). Then she was devoured by a beastly creature and was suddenly gone. Though Nancy became part of the circle that are looking for Will (played by Noah Schnapp) in her quest to find Barbara, viewers wondered about the latter's parents who seem not at all bothered by her absence until the end of Season 1.

Amidst spoilers and speculations about the next "Stranger Things" season come reports that new members will be added to the stellar cast. Still, the sad news remain that Barbara will not be part of Season 2 as confirmed by an article in Digital Trends.

However in an article that appeared in IGN, Matt Duffer assured viewers that Barbara will be given some justice in "Stranger Things" Season 2. The new teaser video released by Netflix about "Stranger Things" may be part of that. As written by Esquire, this video shows a TV reporter detailing the disappearance of high schooler, Barb.

Meanwhile, one of the new characters to be introduced in "Stranger Things" Season 2 is a girl named Max (to be played by Sadie Sink) who is described to act more like a boy than a girl. Another new character is Billy (to be played by Dacre Montgomery) which is the over-confident older brother of Max.

Surely, "Stranger Things" will be back to thrill more viewers in 2017.
