The Duggar News: Jill Speaks About Husband's Drastic Weight Loss; Derick Dillard Sick?

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard's time as missionaries in Central America must have been pretty difficult. When the 25-year old TV personality posted pictures of her and Derick in Instagram, many people expressed concern over her husband's skeletal appearance. Some commented that Derick looks very sick and some even insinuated that the 27-year old accountant has contracted a grave disease in El Salvador.

In a post from Heavy, the Duggars admit that they had been sick a couple of times while in El Salvador. Still, the couple chose to give unclear explanations about Derick's drastic weight loss, sparking more concerns and speculations.

Until, finally Jill Duggar has openly spoken about Derick's health in an interview by Inquisitr as reported in Hollywood Gossip. In the said article, Jill Duggar emphasized the fact that she and Derick are very healthy people. But then she further explained that living in another country can be difficult and it is not unlikely to be contaminated with what she calls "travellers stuff" along with other bacteria or viruses.

Jill Duggar also clarified that they did not get infected with the Zika virus. Though Jill's explanation is meant to put the minds of the Duggar followers at ease, it seems that her dubious answers have raised more questions. One time, Jill Duggar even chose to mix her explanations with humor when she said that Derick had lost weight because there is no Chick-Fil-A in El Salvador.

Still, since Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are now back in the country, the couple may probably see Derick gain some of his weight back. Moreover, Derick is now employed as a high-school teacher so he seems to be in good health.
