Aging Gracefully: How To Be Hot And Healthy Like Jennifer Aniston At 46

Jennifer Aniston at 46 still looks hot and healthy, making her one of the immortal beauties in Hollywood. She has been on screens for decades and some just envy the red-hot body that she has, especially these days. This is perhaps because of her low-carb diet as some dieticians would say.

Aniston has to cut back on carbs whenever she wants to lose weight. She basically minimizes her intake of bread, rice and pasta. She fundamentally goes with such diet that is much like of Gwyneth's, Madonna's and Cindy Crawford's.

Scientists confirm that low-carb meals are actually effective for weight loss. The good news on top of this is that such diet also helps lower insulin resistance and therefore helping to prevent diabetes.

Michigan University scientists suggest that three low-carbohydrate meals a day can lower insulin resistance by more than 30 percent. This way, the blood sugar levels are very well treated making it easy for the body to attain balance and make weight loss easier to achieve.

"What's remarkable about our findings is they show a simple dietary modification of reducing the carbohydrate content of the meals can, within a day, protect against development of insulin resistance." Professor Borer from Michigan University said, as quoted by My Body And Soul.

The research findings brought important information on the so-called "fad diets," which are often debated by nutritionists as unhealthy. For example is the Atkins diet that also focuses on low carb intake.

In spite of fierce criticisms, this diet still shows favorable effects on most celebrities who use it. Some celebrities who have admitted of taking the Atkins diet were Kim Kardashian and Sharon Osbourne, according to Disney's Babble.

Scientists suggest that high-carb foods should be avoided as much as possible like pasta, bread, gluten grains, trans fats, high omega-6 seed, fruit juices, ice cream and other sugary foods. What have to be consumed are the ones high in protein, fat and healthy vegetables. These include lean meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, eggs, seeds, nuts, high-fat dairy, fats and some healthy oils.
