‘2016 American Music Awards’ Updates: Who Will Be Hosting, List Of Performers, Plus Who Got The Most Number Of Nominations?

As announced by the official site of the AMA, ABC and Dick Clark productions confirmed that actor Jay Pharoah and model, Gigi Hadid will be the hosts of the awards night. Both celebrities have expressed excitement to work with each other and be part of the 2016 AMA's.

Gigi Hadid said that working with Jay who is known for comedic acts will allow her to show her funny side to the viewers. On the other hand, Jay Pharoah is certain the 2016 AMA's will be a fun night with beautiful Gigi as co-host and a number of talented performers which he thinks he has impersonated at some point to grace the event.

So who will be performing at the "2016 American Music Awards?" An article from Wet Paint listed celebrities including Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, and The Chainsmokers.

Meanwhile, with nominations from 13 categories, rapper singer Drake leads this year's list of AMA's nominees. His ex-girlfriend, Rihanna is at the second place with 7 nominations. Meanwhile, Justin Bieber and Adele both received 5 nominations. The Chainsmokers and Beyonce has 4 nominations each.

Ten nominees are currently competing for the Artist of the Year award which includes Drake, Adele, Selena Gomez, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Twenty One Pilots, and Carrie Underwood.
