Melania Trump Hits Again With A Plagiarized Speech

Melania Trump's speech during their campaign at Pennsylvania draws flak among reporters after being caught plagiarizing a quote from no other than the ex-wife of her husband, Marla Maples.

Thursday, Melania Trump talked about her life living in Slovenia, about poverty and cyberbullying in a crowd supporting Donald Trump. Her speech, however, left a lot of people asking questions about whether or not the would-be First lady has done her research about the number of women living in the poverty line after giving a wrong statistics related to it.

According to her, about 50% of women in the US are living in the poverty line, which is an exaggeration to the correct number. The Washington Post clarifies however that in the transcript of Mrs. Trump's speech, she actually meant "15 percent" of women which is pretty much accurate. On the other side of the note, her talk about cyberbullying has raised eyebrows for journalists who seem to consider Trump, himself, as a cyberbully.

What puts her in the criticisms of the plagiarism patrol is the part of the speech which talks about her upbringing: "if you could dream it, you could become it". The idea of the quote have had many interpretations and versions from different people but what's pretty interesting about it is that this exact same phrase, verbatim, was only mentioned by Marla Maples, Donald's second wife, in an interview way back 2011. The Daily Mail says Melania Trump most likely must have heard this misquote from Donald Trump, or Mrs. Trump got this form from Maples.

It is to be remembered how Melania Trump previously plagiarized a portion of her speech from that of the first lady Michelle Obama, last July at the Republican National Convention. This made people ask whether or not her speechwriter is doing her job well or that she really wants the would-be First Lady to look like a laughing stock.

Whatever the case is, Melania Trump must work harder with her speeches next time.
