'Jane The Virgin': How Will The Show Deal With Controversial Topics Following Donald Trump's Win?

Since President-elect Donald Trump has previously joked about touching women without their consent, many Hollywood writers have been extra sensitive to sexual harassment issues embedded in TV shows and movies. "Jane the Virgin," in particular, even changed an entire script in Season 3 after Trump's infamous comments.

According to Vulture, "Jane the Virgin" creator Jennie Snyder Urman decided to rewrite a scene involving in the pilot episode of Season 3. The original scene was supposed to show Michael advancing to kiss Jane, without her consent. Urman felt so uncomfortable after hearing Trump's comments that she changed the whole thing.

The re-worked script instead showed Michael deliberately asking Jane for the kiss. Jane then made the move to kiss him instead. Urman said she made the change to not add to the bigger problem, which is society's views on sexual advancements. Now that Trump has won the presidential elections, will "Jane the Virgin" be seeing re-works constantly?

Meanwhile, why did Urman decides that Jane finally does it with Michael? She basically just ran out of stories for the virgin topic from being an unwed mother to getting married and having a son who is one year old. The story has to progress and it would be unbelievable of Jane having no sex with husband, Michael, the author implies.

Urman from the start already created the foundation of "Jane the Virgin" story that the star would eventually get married and like any other married couple, Jane and Michael realistically go through the process of marital bliss.

Interruptions happened while they are doing it - as they are typical in "Jane the Virgin". It was not all glory in the beginning for Jane but after trying it a couple of times, they finally got it right. Still conservatively done with special animations and all but very real indeed, according to Deadline Hollywood.
