'Pokemon Go' News: Commuters Speed Cap Forbids Commuters From Enjoying The Game, Players Disappointed?

The augmented reality game "Pokémon Go" is very addicting that players can't control themselves from playing it even while driving which results in accidents. Nintendo and the Pokemon Company want to keep "Pokémon Go" players safe, so they are imposing a Speed Cap that forbids commuters to play the title.

Initially, Nintendo added a "Pokémon Go" feature asking the player if he is a driver or a passenger if the app detects a fast speed. However, despite this feature, "Pokémon Go" players can still choose the passenger even if he is on the wheels.

There are already a number of reported "Pokémon Go" accidents on the street and the Pokémon Company and Nintendo wish to end this concern. Thus, they added a new "Pokémon Go" feature called Speed Cap that forbids commuters from playing the game.

According to the Mainichi Shimbum, a Japanese newspaper, "Pokémon Go's" Speed Cap is released globally in the recent update. The Pokémon Company is mum about the said feature. In fact, the "Pokémon Go" Speed Cap is not mentioned in the patch notes.

Per Kotaku, the recent "Pokémon Go" Speed Cap update is already active. For instance, riding a train in Osaka no longer allow "Pokémon Go" player to spin out items in the PokeStops they passed by during the commute. The "Pokémon Go" app will instead advise the players to wait momentarily.

The "Pokémon Go" Speed Cap did not receive the approval from players. In fact, "Pokémon Go" players reacted to this update negatively. Michelle Walker complained that the "Pokémon Go" Speed Cap is the most stupid update for the title.

The "Pokémon Go" player added that Speed Cap ruins the games for people in rural areas and children who are in the backseat with their parents commuting home. However, while some rant, other "Pokémon Go" players did not notice the Speed Cap in the gameplay.

Nintendo and the Pokemon Company also offers another "Pokemon Go" update that gives more items at the PokeStop temporarily. However, this did not suffice for the disappointed "Pokemon Go" player who wish to enjoy the game while commuting.

How do you feel about "Pokémon Go" Speed Cap? Are you experiencing it? Should Nintendo pull out this new "Pokémon Go" feature? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
