NBA Trade Rumors: Sacramento Kings' Demarcus Cousins To Complete 'Portland's Big Three' With Damian Lillard & C.J . McCollum?

Demarcus Cousins has been rumored to be on the trading block of the Sacramento Kings for a while. The latest trade rumors around the NBA suggests that Cousins could be headed to Portland to play with Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum to form a big the for the Portland Trail Blazers.

According to Sportsrageous, the Trail Blazers came into the 2016-17 season looking to contend for the NBA title. With Lillard and McCollum in their roster it is likely that they will achieve their goal. However, their frontcourt should improve if they want to win a title.

ESPN reports that the Trail Blazers are among the teams anticipated to make a big move before the February trade deadline. Portland is reportedly looking for players to supplement the Lillard-McCollum duo, ideally players in the frontcourt position.

The Trail Blazers are allegedly willing to trade players such as Evan Turner, Allen Crabbe, Meyers Leonard, and Moe Harkless to acquire a high caliber big man, as per Andy Bailey. The Kings' Cousins could be the superstar big man the Trail Blazers are looking for.

General managers in the NBA revealed that the Kings are shopping Cousins. However, the Kings are reportedly asking for too much in return.

In a report by Yahoo! Sports, an unnamed chief executive from the Western Conference is willing to acquire Cousins so long as he will not cause problems in the locker room. The general manager further states that he has been in a locker room with Cousins before and continues to say that Cousins is indeed a problem in there.

The struggle of the Kings in recent years are rumored to be the cause for Cousins' frustrations. If a trade deal materializes between the Kings and the Blazers, he would be playing with the likes of Lillard and McCollum who may bring some positive vibes for him.

Cousins is expected to leave Sacramento before the trade deadline as the Kings are predicted to go through yet another disappointing season. Trading him would be a better option for the Kings rather than to lose him in free agency for nothing. Do you think the trade rumor will come to being?
