'Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' Latest News: Release Date Announced; Bandai Namco Confirmed Stand-alone Game 'Road to Boruto'?

Bandai Namco has finally announced the "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" release date and revealed that "Road to Boruto" will be the final DLC for this fighting game. Despite previous reports that the DLC will only allow players access to its digital download, the gaming giant has confirmed that "Road to Boruto" is set to have its physical release soon as well.

The physical release of "Road to Boruto" was originally planned to be rolled out in Europe as well as in Japan. However, it seems that Bandai Namco has changed its mind upon seeing the fans' demand for the game and has decided to release a physical version of the game in North America as well. "Road to Boruto" will be released on Feb. 2, 2017, in Japan and Feb. 3 in Europe and North America.

Aside from this, players of "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" in Japan are also getting a special edition version which will allow the "Road to Boruto" gamers to play it as a stand-alone game. This means that even without the base game "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4," gamers can still have access and play "Road to Boruto."

According to the official website, the physical for the game "Road to Boruto" will also include the base game "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4." The package will be sold for $49.99 for both PS4 and Xbox One gaming consoles.

On the other hand, the digital release, which will only include the DLC, will be offered at $19.99 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Along with this announcement, Bandai Namco has also revealed that the DLC version will feature the adult Sasuke and Naruto, along with the characters' unique fighting techniques and move sets.

The announcement says that the new story mode for "Road to Boruto" will also feature new playable characters available for both online and offline Free Battle Mode. The adult Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha will appear in their respective Hokage Naruto as well as Adult Sasuke costumes.
