Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge Latest News & Update: Android 7.0 Nougat Testing, Limited Slot Only?

The Android 7.0 Nougat update is available for testing on Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge in the United Kingdom.  This beta test will allow the customer to determine how it will work.  This new update is open for suggestions and the developer needs to do some test first to make improvements before it will be released.

This beta test started last Nov. 9 according to Sam Mobile. The users of Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are given the chance to test the new major update.  They need to give feedback about how it performs.

This test also determines the stability and usability of the new update on Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. You have to download the Galaxy Beta Program in Galaxy apps in order to try the android 7.0 Nougat update. You must file first an application via registration menu inside the app. 

However, there is no 100 percent assurance that you will be able to participate in the beta testing as it is still in the discretion of Samsung whether they will select you or not to be part of this program. In short, there is only a limited slot. This test will last until mid of December.

This beta program will not support the Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Edition and Batman Injustice Edition. The Samsung Software Beta Program actually started in 2015 according to IB times. There is no official statement when will Android 7.0 Nougat software will be available for users.

Updates for Smartphones are commonly occurring between January and April but it depends on what country such is located. There are some carriers which are not supported by updates. On the other hand, a branded carrier tends to receive updates.

The Android 7.0 Nougat is already compatible with all Nexus Phones. Samsung is one of the most popular smartphones in the world. It was too late for them to release Nougat. In order to avail the Galaxy Beta program you have to pre-order this as it is a first come first serve basis.
