‘Stranger Things’ Updates & Spoilers: Season 3 Confirmed Along With New Cast Members, Eleven Coming Back, New Plot Scarier Than Ever

Season 1 of "Stranger Things" enjoyed critical acclaim and high ratings that the viewers can't wait for Season 2 to premiere in 2017. The latest updates about the Netflix series informs that production for Season 2 has officially begun and this early a source reveals that "Stranger Things Season 3" will happen. Moreover, new cast members are revealed along with the confirmation of Eleven's return (played by Millie Bobby Brown) and that the audience should expect the story to be more bizarre and eerie as ever.

The news that Season 3 for "Stranger Things" will happen came from its director Shawn Levy, as posted in Inquisitr. Levy further revealed their shooting location which is Atlanta and that the second season will welcome new characters which he predicts to be fan favorites. After keeping it a secret for a while, Levy also finally admits that Millie Bobby Brown will be back as Eleven.

Some of the new cast members include Sean Astin from "Lord of the Rings" who will play the role of Bob Newby a high school batchmate of Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Hopper (David Harbour). Actress Linnea Berthelsen will take on the role of Roman, an emotionally unstable woman who is somehow connected to the strange happenings at the lab. Meanwhile, Paul Reiser from "Mad About You" will be introduced as Dr. Owens is one of the top officials in Department of Energy in Season 2.


An article from GameSpot also spilled some details about the storyline for Season 2 which as promised will be a lot scarier. Though the second installment for "Stranger Things" will bring in a lot of new characters, the plot will mainly focus on the original cast who will be seen trying to regain normalcy after what happened in Season 1. Moreover, recent spoilers claim that "Stranger Things" Season 2 will be much longer than the first season.

Looks like "Stranger Things" Season 2 has a lot to offer. Thankfully, fresh episodes are coming in a few months time.
