‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Season 8, Episode 9 Spoilers & Promo: Callen’s Father Returns! Owen Dying, Sullivan Threatening Kensi-Deeks Romance?

The upcoming Thanksgiving episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 8 will showcase the return of Callen's (Chris O'Donnell) father. Garrison's (Daniel J. Travanti) comeback, however, seems to be bigger than what it seems to be.

In episode nine of "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 8 titled "Glasnost," Garrison is "found in an NCIS patient's hospital room during a radiation poisoning case," SpoilerTV reported. Callen interrogates Garrison in the boatshed to find out whether the latter has something to do with the case. The team, meanwhile, talks about their plans for Thanksgiving.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 8 returns for episode nine on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 8:30-9:30 PM, ET/8:00-9:00 PM, PT on CBS. Watch the promo below.

There are speculations that Assistant Director Owen Granger (Miguel Ferrer) would die in "NCIS: Los Angeles" due to a serious medical condition, Morning Ledger reported. The rumor further gained traction by Ferrer's absence from the set, which is odd considering that Ferrer plays a major character in the series.

In episode seven of "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 8, Granger told Hetty (Linda Hunt) that he is seriously ill and while he didn't confirm that he has cancer, it certainly seems that way. Granger told Hetty that doctors are "still trying to figure out" his illness but he knows that it was brought upon by a "lifetime of bad decisions" that includes smoking and drinking, according to International Business Times.

It remains to be seen whether Granger would survive his condition and remain on "NCIS: Los Angeles." For now, viewers are in the waiting game about Ferrer's possible departure from the series.

On the other hand, a possible threat seems to be heading towards Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks' (Eric Christian Olsen) romance on "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 8. In the recent episode, Kensi finally made a friend named Sullivan (Kurt Yaeger) in her rehabilitation facility.

Kensi and Sullivan's first meeting on "NCIS: Los Angeles" wasn't exactly nice, with the latter taunting her and Kensi responding to him nastily. The two, however, eventually became friendly toward each other and Kensi told Sullivan that she has a fiancé, TV Guide wrote.

Kensi and Sullivan's newfound friendship definitely put the former in a good mood, though she still seems loyal to Deeks. It's still unsure whether Sullivan would be a source of jealousy for Deeks.

Do you think Granger would die on "NCIS: Los Angeles?" Is Sullivan a threat to Kensi and Deeks' relationship? Share your thoughts below.
