3-Year-Old Toddler Dearly Admires His US Marine Uncle, The Kid Say “That’s Uncle Matt’s Flag” To All American Flag He Sees

A 3-year-old toddler from Philadelphia admires his U.S. Marine uncle, U.S. Marine Sgt. Matthew K. Caruso, dearly that whenever he catches sight of an American flag, he would say 'that's Uncle Matt's flag,' Frank Caruso, his grandfather, revealed. The toddler seemed to have bonded well with his uncle.

Frank Caruso, the grandfather of the 3-year-old toddler, Ryan Matthew Caruso, has revealed how much his grandchild loved his uncle who happened to be his son. He said that each time Ryan Matthew caught a glimpse of the flag of America, the boy would say that the flag belonged to his Uncle Matt.

Because the family has seen the toddler's great love and admiration towards his uncle, they bought him a Marine uniform for his Halloween costume. The kid got excited upon receiving and trying the dress.

From then on, the 3-year-old would always wear it. "He's been wearing the uniform," Bucks County Courier Times quoted Frank Caruso as saying.

When the toddler has worn his Halloween costume, he would run out the house and waved a U.S. flag in their yard. The boy looked like he wanted to follow his uncle's footsteps.
The grandfather even revealed that Ryan Matthew has learned to salute by himself without the help of the family. They are not sure though if Matthew taught the toddler during the time, he was on leave and was staying in their house.

The toddler's uncle, Matthew Caruso, was a native Bensalem currently on his second-term deployment. Before he entered U.S. Marine, he first graduated from Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in 2009. Brave Matthew was the tank commander of an M1A1 tank. These could be the reason why the toddler admires his uncle so much.

Right now, the toddler patiently waits for his uncle Matthew to come back home. He is also excited of what his uncle will teach him about being a U.S. Marine.
Meanwhile, around 1.4 million people are serving the armed forces of the United States, according to Defense Manpower Data Center. These means 0.4 percent of the population of America is active army personnel, the report added.
