WWE Rumors & Spoilers: Will The Undertaker Return For Smackdown Against Randy Orton Or John Cena?

The Undertaker has surprised WWE fans earlier this month when it was announced that he will come back for Smackdown. After a long of hibernation, fans will finally see the Dead Man yet again for the 900th WWE episode, and with John Cena reportedly not coming for the show, Undertaker is be said to be facing Randy Orton for a feud.

The Undertaker's return may mark his last fight for WWE and this cannot, in any way, fall short of fans expectations, which is why his opponent is extremely kept under the wraps. However, several sources pointed out to Randy Orton as the most possible match for the 51-year-old wrestler.

According to Comic Book, the last time The Undertaker and Randy Orton had a bout was during the Wrestlemania 21 in 2005. Hence, a rematch is long overdue for the two WWE veterans, and it would give The Undertaker a befitting fight as he exits the WWE ring indefinitely.

One of the reasons the 36-year-old wrestler can be a perfect match for The Undertaker is because of the latter's health conditions. Per Inquistr, the Dead Man is not in perfect shape for wrestling anymore, as he recently underwent hip surgery. Therefore, Randy Orton makes the best choice as he has the capacity to prolong the fight and somehow protect The Undertaker from further health damage.

While Randy Orton is positioned to be the most logical bet for The Undertaker's opponent, fans wish that WWE higher-ups can reconsider their choices and match him with John Cena instead. It was reported that sooner or later, the Dead Man might challenge the Smackdown superstar later on.

If this happens, then this eventual fight will be definitely one for the books. Since time immemorial, John Cena is foreseen to be The Undertaker's ultimate opponent.
