Netflix 'A Series Of Unfortunate Events' New Trailer: Neil Patrick Harris Hints Teaser Drop, Daniel Handler Releases Cast Photos

Netflix subscribers looking forward to "A Series of Unfortunate Events" are in for a treat this week as Neil Patrick Harris has hinted of a new teaser drop this Thursday, Nov. 17. Author Daniel Handler, who also serves as executive producer of the television series, teased fans with a handful cast photos as well.

On his Twitter, Neil Patrick Harris, who plays Count Olaf on the show, has been sharing photos of his character's many disguises on "A Series of Unfortunate Events." As of press time, he has shared the looks of Captain Sham from the story's third book "The Wide Window" and Stefano from the second book "The Reptile Room."

Neil Patrick Harris also said that he's anticipating the release of a new trailer for "A Series of Unfortunate Events" on Thursday. So far, Netflix has already unleashed fan excitement for the show by showing two teasers within the last couple of months.

Meanwhile, book series author and the real Lemony Snicket, Daniel Handler, also released a bunch of photos of the different characters on "A Series of Unfortunate Events." On his Twitter, he posted photos of Catherine O' Hara as Dr. Georgina Orwell and Joan Cusack as Justice Strauss. He also asked fans to guess the roles of Don Johnson and Aasif Mandi in another Twitter post.

Joan Cusack is Count Olaf's neighbor who will be introduced to the Baudelaire orphans in the beginning of "A Series of Unfortunate Events." On the other hand, Catherine O'Hara's character is part of the fourth book, "The Miserable Mill," who hypnotizes the children upon Olaf's request.

According to Entertainment Weekly, O'Hara actually played Justice Strauss in the 2004 ASOUE movie adaptation with Jim Carrey. As for the other mysterious roles teased by Handler for "A Series of Unfortunate Events," fans are guessing that Don Johnson will play Sir from the Lucky Smell Lumbermill and Aasaf Mandi will play Uncle Monty, the orphans' other guardian.

Slash Film notes that because of these photo releases, there's a good chance these are the characters whom fans will see in the new trailer for "A Series of Unfortunate Events" on Thursday. Check back to this site for more about the upcoming Netflix show.
