J. K. Rowling’s ‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ Director David Yates Eager To Helm All Five Films

Yes, fans read that right. "Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them" will span for 19 years with five films. Director David Yates and J. K Rowling will work on the films together.

David Yates is "Harry Potter" veteran as he had also directed some of the franchise's films. Now, he's going back to the wizarding world during the pre-war era to bring Newt Scamander's, played by Eddie Redmayne, life to the big screen, The Guardian reports.

The five films on "Fantastic Beasts and where to find them" are already set for Yates. Recently, he even teased that there will be a cameo of Albus Dumbledore's young self in the film. This just made every "Harry Potter" fan even more excited of the film, Deadline reports.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them" centers on Redmayne's character. Here, New Scamander is a magi zoologist. His task is to travel the world to document and document all the magical creatures.

Newt makes a stop in New York. The year is 1926 and Newt travels with a suitcase full of magical creatures. The story starts when Newt decides to help Tina Goldstein (Katherine Waterston) to catch an animal smuggler.

J. K Rowling and Yates aims to deliver a standalone film to the fans. The two may have made it a success considering that the 133 minutes can indeed stand as a sole film across the wizarding world, Forbes reports.

The second franchise of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them" will focus on the heroes of the new franchise. As with all the "Harry Potter" films, allegiances will also be tested in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them."
