MacBook Pro Gadget Updates and New Features: Is Apple Headed Towards Realizing Gadget Lockdown?

Apple fired another bomb towards the war on upgrades with its most innovative MacBook Pro ever. The tech giant released a new MacBook Pro model with a fitted Touch Bar. The latest upgrade is now leading the company towards it vision of total gadget lockdown.

Apple is taking another giant leap in its journey towards producing slimmer and lighter MacBooks, Gizmodo noted. In fact, the tech giant has been making bold and brilliant moves of fusing upgradable parts into the surface of its iconic MacBooks.

We recall a feature from Parent Herald which differentiated the features of the new MacBook Pro against that of another Apple tech, the MacBook Air.

Apple's latest MacBook Pro features a Touch Bar that requires users configure their preferred SSD designs before taking their MacBooks home. The SSD chips are now embedded in the MacBooks core, making user-replacement completely impossible.

A little glitch is found in old Mac Pro and the 27-inch Mac whose RAM and hard drive, when matched with the adequate amount of elbow grease, maybe accessed by users. Still, Apple is committed to making their product more user upgrade friendly and requires less repairs.

Apple has been making user-upgrade a tougher job as time progress. In 2010, Apple made its first move by soldering MacBook Air's RAMS directly into the device. This continued with the model's Retina. Eventually, user-replaceable batteries where also attached permanently to the casing.

The Cupertino-based company has taken their vision on the roots as they made customized screws for both MacBooks and iPhones.

Apple has been receiving negative feedbacks from the repair community which opposes their vision towards tech lockdown. In spite of that, the tech giant remains firm and consistent with their vision, as seen by the release of the fitted touch bar of the new MacBook Pro. Do you agree with Apple's strategy?
