'Valerian and The City Of A Thousand Planets' Update: Cara Delevingne, Dane DeHaan and Rihanna Shine In Released Trailer

"Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets" released its trailer yesterday and fans have set Twitter abuzz with appreciation. The movie, based on a French science fiction comic series entitled "Valerian and Laureline," stars Dane DeHaan as Valerian and Cara Delevingne as Laureline. Pop star Rihanna was also seen in the trailer.

"Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets" will be released by July 2017, but as early as now, fans are already anticipating the airing of the French science fiction movie. Based on Twitter updates, the film is most talked about followed closely by "Ghost in The Shell", as reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Dane DeHaan, who starred as Harry Osborn/Green Goblin in "The Amazing Spiderman 2" will play the role of Valerian. He will portray a space and time-traveling agent charged with maintaining order in the universe.

Valerian's partner is Laureline, played by "Suicide Squad" actress Cara Delevingne. In the released trailer of "Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets," Rihanna is seen as Bubbles, an entertainer who can shapeshift, per Headlines and Global News.

The upcoming movie details the adventures of the two government operatives who were assigned to a mission in Alpha, an intergalactic city filled with thousands of species. The species came from all corners of the universe and have united their talents to make their city a refuge for all.

In "Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets," Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne will have to uncover a sinister plot as it seems that some species would like to see the peaceful city destroyed. Other actors included in the film are Clive Owen, starring as Commander Arün Filitt, Valerian and Laureline's boss and Ethan Hawke.

"Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets" is slated for release July 21, 2017.
