'Final Fantasy 15' Latest News: Why Demo Disc Is Buggy, Hajime Tabata Acknowledges Concerns & Offers Fixes

Players who have tried the demo disc for "Final Fantasy 15" have reported that the game is filled with bugs. Director Hajime Tabata acknowledged that the system is indeed buggy and addressed that this will be fixed.

Tabata posted about the buggy "Final Fantasy 15" demo disc on his Twitter account, citing that his team is already working on the patches. "Please rest assured that we will identify the frequency of the bugs and make fixes as needed," he wrote in part, as translated by Gematsu.

The "Final Fantasy 15" team released the buggy demo disc, called Judgement demo disc, via the Japanese PSN last Nov. 11. According to VG47, this disc contains the game's opening scenes that lead up to the first chapter.

As with other demo discs, gamers can already explore and play "Final Fantasy 15" in both PS4 and Xbox One albeit with restrictions. They can experience the game in full once the release is official on Nov. 29, 2016 globally.

Destructoid reports that this is not the first demo disc released for "Final Fantasy 15" as there have already released the Episode Duscae demo and the Platinum demo. However, the bugs on the latest demo disc are causing a concern for gamers especially with the release date already close.

Hajime Tabata said that these bugs are quite common, so there shouldn't be any worries. Because of the vast open-world of "Final Fantasy 15," problems like this are expected to crop up. His team, however, has been working at fixing these for the last two months and are still working "to completely get rid of bugs." Gamers will have to be patient about the bug fixes though as Tabata declared that these will come "at a steady pace" via a patch download.

Meanwhile, Hajime Tabata also announced that the Platinum demo disc will run until the end of 2016. It was initially only supposed to work a few weeks of its release this November.
