'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' Update: Crossover With 'Deadpool' Possible? Films Trading Characters But Still No Backup Plans For Star-Lord's Father?

20th Century Fox and Marvel Cinematic Universe revealed that "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Deadpool" traded characters and fans are getting excited due to some crossover speculations. It turns out that Negasonic Teenage Warhead for Ego the Living Planet was only traded to cover up a pressing issue. Director James Gunn admits that he did not have a backup plan for Star-Lord's Father in the "GOTG Vol. 2"

On Gunn's Facebook page, he posted and explained why he was not able to check Star-Lord's father's character and hastily made him Ego the Living Planet in "Guardians of the Galaxy". At first, Gunn thought that Ego was an original character he made but he realized later on that Marvel actually owned the character.

Luckily after sleepless nights, Fox came to Marvel and agreed to exchange the characters. Marvel Cinematic Universe and 20th Century Fox's cordial agreement makes way for Gunn's original vision for the film. With this, they (Marvel and James Gunn) can all move forward with their initial plan for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2".

Kurt Russell played the role as Ego the Living Planet in "Guardians of the Galaxy" originally. But as much as "GOTG" fans would love to see Russell in the comic book form of the character, MCU decided to do some changes.

According to reports, Kurt Russel will not be forced to stretch his skills to portray a planet but instead his character Ego will be in human form. Regardless of all these, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is expected to be strikingly remarkable.

In another report, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" resumes filming. Karen Gillian shared on her social media account that she feels good to back and that she is currently filming scenes for the movie sequel.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." is expected to be released on May 5, 2017. Watch the movie trailer below!
