'Star Wars' News: Carrie Fisher Reveals Detailed Off-Screen Love Affair With Harisson Ford While Filming In 1976

After 40 years, the speculation of Carrie Fisher being romantically involved with Harrison Ford off-screen while filming "Star Wars" in 1976 is now out. Fisher, who is now 60 years old and played Princess Leia in the first three films of "Star Wars," broke the silence and finally admits to the long-overdue love affair revelation between her and co-star, Harrison Ford.

Carrie Fisher told People Magazine about her short love affair with Harrison Ford, "It was so intense." She added that while going romantically on the set of "Star Wars" as Princess Leia and Han Solo, during the weekend it was Carrie and Harrison as lovers.

Carrie Fisher was only 19 during the filming of 1976 "Star Wars" while Harrison Ford was 33 with two children and married to Mary Marquardt. Harrison and Marquardt divorced in 1979, and Ford later married Melissa Mathison, the screenwriter of "The Extra-Terrestrial." Ford married Calista Flockhart in 2010.

Carrie Fisher recently launched a book, her memoir from the "Star Wars" days called "The Princess Diarist." Fisher's book reveals about her experiences and situations that happened behind the scenes of the first "Star Wars" trilogy. She also revealed about her first night together with Ford after attending George Lucas' birthday party, according to CNN.

In Carrie Fisher's emerged memoir, she reveals that the love affair lasted for three months. The love affair was kept shut until recently. Fisher also reveals she smoked too much cannabis during those times that she didn't get to recollect much of what happened and the diary she kept was the thing that made her afloat with what happened.

The morning after Fisher's first romantic night with Ford, she woke up with self-doubt. Fisher mentions looking at Ford's face the morning after and asking, "How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?"

The revelation didn't stop there as Carrie Fisher remembers how Mark Hamill (who played Luke Skywalker) almost caught the love affair that was going on when Hamill had a surprise visit to Ford's flat. Fisher mentions it was eleven in the morning that time, and it's clearly unbelievable to say that she just dropped by Ford's flat for brunch.

Even though it was a short time love affair, Fisher said she's relieved when the affair ended and that she didn't approve of herself.
