‘Power Rangers’ Movie News & Updates: Zords Are Here And They Are Awesome [Video]

The new "Power Rangers" movie to be released on 2017 will also have Zords. Yes, you read that right. Fans had a glimpse of the new Zords toys, and they are awesome.

"Power Rangers" Zords are used by the team to fight off the villains. These are giant robots that they can control to battle. The new Battle Zords of the "Power Rangers" were designed by Bandai.

The "Power Rangers" Zords for the 2017 movie will feature Jason (Dacre Montgomery) the Red Ranger to have the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Blue Ranger, portrayed by RJ Cyler, will have the Triceratops and Zack (Ludi Lin) Black Ranger will have the Mastodon. Lastly, Kimberly (Naomi Scott) the Pink Ranger will ride the Pterodactyl to battle, ComicBook reports.

The design of the "Power Rangers" Zords also has similar alien features with the suits of the Rangers. The Triceratops Zord has the most resemblance with the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" film.

It's the Zord that will make every 90s kid who grew up watching the original show feel nostalgic. One of the key difference of the "Power Rangers" 2017 movie is that the Pterodactyl Zord looks like a jet compared to the actual creature it takes its form from, Cinema Blend reports.

However, some "Power Ranger" fans are already reacting negatively on the new Zords. Though these haven't been seen in any trailer, the replica toys seem to be entirely different from the original. One thing's for sure; it's becoming more alien-like every time a reveal comes out.

Additionally, the suits of the "Power Rangers" themselves are also drastically different from the original design. The suits for the movie have a more alien-like look to them.

Are you excited for the new "Power Ranger" movie? What do you think of the new Zords and the new costumes? We all have to wait for its release on March 24, 2017. Meanwhile, watch the official movie trailer below.
