Bobbi Kristina Brown Death Updates: Boyfriend Nick Gordon Ordered To Pay $36M In Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Bobbi Kristina Brown's death is one of the saddest stories in Hollywood. Nick Gordon, the boyfriend of Whitney Houston's only daughter with Bobbi Brown, has now been found legally responsible for her death last July 2015. Fulton county superior court judge T. Jackson Bedford ordered Gordon to pay more than $36 million in damages for assaulting Brown, and for repeatedly failing to meet court deadlines.

According to the report of LA Times, as the judge set his penalty, Gordon failed to show up to court to fight the charges. Gordon had been skipping the court appearances since November of 2015, and with no legal representation. Primarily, the September trial wherein Brown's case has been won by default as charges were admitted by omission. Last March, a source reported to have heard a disturbing statement from Gordon, when he allegedly said, "I'm glad that s*** is all over," the Daily Mail reported.

Brown's family members are pleased to have finally won justice for the daughter of the late pop diva Whitney Houston. Houston's ex-husband also said that he is relieved that Gordon could no longer tarnish his daughter's name nor take any of his daughter's financial assets and entitlements to properties.

According to TMZ, Gordon needs to pay $36 million in damages. This includes $1.5 million from stealing Brown's funds, with additional $250,000 for punitory damages. Another $15 million is for loss of life, which includes Brown's estate, future potential income and $13 million for pain and suffering. Assault and medical damages penalty amount to $1.3 million with additional $4.2 million.

The greater question here is what will Gordon pay? $36 million in damages is an enormous amount of money for the former entertainer who is now unemployed. Stay tuned for more updates regarding this news and share your thoughts with us below!
