Xbox One Backward Compatibility Update: New Games Released And Continues To Grow; See The Latest Addition Here!

Xbox One backward compatibility launched a year ago with 100 titles. This number continues to grow as new games become available. The latest addition to its collection are The Elder Scroll 4: Oblivion and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Oblivion is set to join the new list of Xbox One backward compatibility program. It is an action role-playing game developed by Bethesda was first launched in March 2006. It has gained positive reviews from critics in its release and has sold over 1.7 million copies by April 2006. In total, the game has shipped about 9.5 million copies worldwide.

Modern Warfare 3 is one of the latest two releases on Xbox One backward compatibility program. The game is a first-person shooter video game released back in 2011 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Although there had been issues of hacking and piracy weeks before launch, reported sales figures amounted to 6.5 million copies in its first day in the US and UK alone.

Due to its popularity, Microsoft released its version for Xbox One backward compatibility scheme. Also on the list of newly added games include Omega Five, Military Madness: Nectaris, Deadspace Ignition, Escape Dead Island, Scarygirl, Skate 3, Guardian Heroes, Operation Flashpoint: Red River, Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, Limbo and Blue Dragon.

These titles had been highly requested by fans. Microsoft added these games to Xbox One backward compatibility list to the delight of fans. It has slowly released heavy hitter titles for Xbox One. Modern Warfare 3 and Oblivion had been two of the most requested games by fans. It is no wonder that these two made it just in time for the Black Friday sale.

Other top requested titles that are not yet included for Xbox One backward compatibility are Bioshock 1, Bioshock 2, Bioshock Infinite, Battlefield 3, and Assassins Creed III. These games, however, may become available as soon as the holiday sale season kicks in.
