Skyrim News & Updates: Fan Creates ‘Game of Thrones’ Inspired Trailer; PLUS! Is Skyrim Coming To Nintendo Switch? [VIDEO]

A "Game of Thrones" fans has recreated the HBO hit series' trailer using elements and visuals from the popular game Skyrim, making the show look just like the video game. The fan, a YouTuber called UpIsNotJump, used over 260 mods from Skyrim to remake the program's original trailer.

UpIsNotJump's "Game of Thrones" inspired Skyrim trailer, uploaded on Nov. 19, has now gotten more than 154,000 views and hundreds of comments since the post. The GoT and Skyrim fan said he plans to create "Skyrim" versions of all "Game of Thrones" trailers in the future.

This "Game of Thrones" trailer was not the first time for UpIsNotJump to use elements of a role-playing game or RPG to transform real-life footage, TNW says. The YouTuber has previously remade an entire episode of "Rick and Morty" using visuals from Fallout 4, another popular video game from Bethesda, Skyrim's developer.

Although not perfect, TNW describes the "Game of Thrones" video as a "pretty impressive and admirable effort." YouTube commenters praised UpIsNotJump for an "amazing" and "super excellent" job. You can watch the original and recreated trailers below.

Meanwhile, Skyrim's creator and director Todd Howard has hinted that the popular fantasy RPG may soon be available on Nintendo Switch. Howard told Glixel how much he admires Nintendo Switch, calling himself a big fan of the hybrid console.

Although Bethesda has not confirmed it, Howard has given strong indications that it will become a Nintendo Switch Game. If this pushes through, this will be the first time for Bethesda to work with Nintendo.

"We're definitely going to be supporting it," Howard said.

According to IGN, Skyrim may not be the only game that Bethesda will offer at Nintendo Switch. It predicts the company would also offer other RPGs like Doom or Fallout.

Nintendo is expected to make a presentation about Switch and the titles it will include on January 12, 2017.
