'Avatar 2' News & Update: Pandora Theme Park To Open In Summer 2017 By Disney; Rides & Robots As Realistic As Film Characters

"Avatar 2" is one of the most awaited movies and its release date is often discussed. Set in the magical world of Pandora, the "Avatar" series has already made a strong fan base. Disney has given another reason for the Pandora lovers to rejoice. Disney has officially announced that their amusement park will be opening an "Avatar" theme park in 2017. Now fans of all ages can experience the world of Pandora.

Disney's 'Avatar 2' Amusement Park: Rides, Sights & Robots

The announcement was made at the Destination D event, which is a convention for Disney's theme park fans by Bob Chapek. During the announcement, he introduced the details of the "Avatar 2" theme park at Disney. The theme was introduced with the concept artwork and pictures. Many of the places in the theme park will be named after the places and incidents in Pandora. For example, the main restaurant will be called "Satu'li Canteen", which is inspired by Na'vi art and cultural items, reported Thrillist.

There will two chief attractions in the "Avatar 2" theme park. They are "The Flight of Passage" and "Na'vi River Journey." The "Flight of Passage" takes visitors on a dragon-bird like or Banshee ride and enjoy an aerial view of Pandora's stunning world. The "Na'vi River Journey," on the other hand, takes guests on a boat ride through the sacred river. It will be surrounded by bioluminescent rainforest, reported Orlando Sentinel.

It is reported that on the "Na'vi River Journey", the visitors to the park will encounter the Na'vi Shaman. This is a figure that shares a deep connection with the life force of Pandora. The Na'vi Shaman is also an animatronic in the theme park. Here people can touch and interact with it to bring the "Avatar 2" theme park to life.

The "Avatar 2" amusement theme park is named "Pandora - The World of Avatar." It will be open to the public at Disney's Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on the summer of 2017.
